With over 20 years working directly in information and cybersecurity, Ashley is a proven and pragmatic cybersecurity executive who has a reputation for leading and delivering cybersecurity at scale. Having worked across Australia as well as in the United States, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom — Ashley has led reputable security teams for some of the world’s leading financial services companies. In his most recent corporate role as Global Head of BizSec Enablement at Macquarie Group he leveraged this experience to continually evolve and innovate security practices and culture to keep pace with an evolving threat environment. Since leaving Macquarie, Ashley has established a Sydney based boutique cyber consulting practice services clients both in Australia as well as around the globe.

Akshaye Kalkura

Akshaye is a cyber security professional with 20+ years experience in the information and cyber security domain. Over the last few years, he has predominantly been associated with leading financial services within Australia such as Macquarie Group and Reserve Bank of Australia. His prior experience with KPMG has given him the opportunity to work with diverse industries and several engagements spread globally spanning Australia, India, USA, Africa and Middle East. He is passionate about helping clients achieving their business goals by providing pragmatic security advice and enjoys simplifying complex problems. He continues to use his strong technical knowledge in helping clients enhance their security ecosystem against latest security threats.

Dylan is a technically competent and personable computer enthusiast with a natural talent for improving efficiency through automation and process creation. With over 6 years of Incident Response experience, Dylan is able to identify attacker tactics & techniques and deploy preventative/detective controls and response processes. In his most recentcorporate role as the Manager of Deployment & Enhancement he has utilised his systems administration and scripting skills to coordinate a team developing automation and data visualisations for both offensive and defensive teams. Dylan also regularly hosts meetup groups and CTF's where he teaches both attack and defense techniques.

Brad is an experienced risk management executive trusted by clients to provide strategic insights and commercial solutions. He has expertise in many areas of risk management and has led global risk management functions within the financial services sector, been the Risk Director of a major domestic media company and more recently a Director of the Consulting practice of a leading Australian law firm. Brad is passionate about cybersecurity risk and applies his deep risk management expertise to the design of solutions that support clients in meeting the evolving challenges of the cyber operating environment.

Tarun Bhushan

Principle Security Architect​

Over 40 years’ experience as a cyber security thought-leader, adviser, architect, consultant, infrastructure architect & manager, team manager, network security & internet specialist, and software developer/engineer in a range of organisations including finance & banking, telecommunications, government, e-commerce, steel manufacture, automobile manufacture and engineering. Broad and deep technical expertise combined with insightful business and commercial experience.

In his most recent role as Global Head of Cyber Security Architecture, Design and Innovation at Macquarie Group, Tarun built and lead a team of skilled business-aligned security architects & designers. He forecast security needs of the organisation based on business needs, evolving technology and security events, while ensuring that risk is effectively managed with commerciality in mind. He found innovative solutions to security problems affecting the business via thorough research and internal stakeholder engagement. He made and maintained global security vendor relationships and used these to better secure the organisation. He advised the Macquarie Capital business over the years on cyber security market conditions, global security product deployments, and Macquarie’s current/roadmap strategy so they could use this while making cyber security technology investment and lending decisions.
